Sligro Food Group has customers in practically all segments of the Dutch food market.
The market comprises both the 'out of home' or foodservice channel and the 'at home' or food retail channel. We are therefore primarily dependent, directly or indirectly (in the business-to-business market), on the food consumer’s spending behaviour. Sligro Food Group focuses particularly on the Dutch market but is also looking at other countries. In foodservice we are market leader with our Sligro brand, occupying a mid-market position. Our customers are mainly in the hospitality, corporate catering, forecourt and institutional sectors but also include, schools and small and medium-sized enterprises. These customers range in size from one-man businesses running bars and restaurants to large hospitality sector chains.
In Food retail, EMTÉ Supermarkets targets consumers in the geographical areas of our stores.
