Certifications and Quality Marks

Sligro Food Group considers it essential to provide customers with safe products. Therefore, together with our suppliers, we do everything possible to minimize risks. We require that all supplied goods fully comply with the applicable standards for product and/or food safety and sustainability in the broadest sense. To safeguard this within our own processes, we make use of widely recognized standards and certifications.

Certifications

Sligro Food Group is certified for multiple standards and quality marks in the Netherlands and Belgium. 
 

ISO 14001
International standard for environmental management systems (EMS), focused on controlling and improving environmental performance and ensuring compliance with legislation.

ISO 22000
International food safety management system (FSMS), based on HACCP principles and risk management, applicable to all stages of the food chain..

FSSC 22000
GFSI-recognized food safety standard based on ISO 22000, with additional sector-specific requirements, widely accepted by international retailers.

IFS Cash & Carry (IFS C&C)
International standard for food safety and product quality within wholesale and cash & carry operations, focused on controlling risks in storage, handling, processing, and sales.

BIO / SKAL
European organic certification label, monitored in the Netherlands by Skal Biocontrole, aimed at sustainable agriculture without synthetic inputs.

MSC
Certification label for sustainably caught wild fish, aimed at preserving fish stocks and ecosystems.

ASC
Certification label for responsibly farmed fish, with a focus on environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and working conditions.

GLOBAL G.A.P.
International standard for Good Agricultural Practices in primary production, with a GGN number for traceability.

Demeter
International certification label for biodynamic agriculture, with stricter requirements than organic standards in terms of soil management, biodiversity, and animal welfare.

Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK)
Dutch animal welfare certification label with a 1-, 2-, or 3-star rating system, initiated by the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals.

Fairtrade
International certification label for fair trade, aimed at improving trading conditions and ensuring income security for producers.

Rainforest Alliance (RFA)
Sustainability certification label for raw materials, focused on biodiversity, climate, and social conditions.
